This international AAL project provides a navigation tool, both for indoor and outdoor, that is specifically adapted for seniors. It takes into account the user profile and contextual data, like stairs, crowded metro stations, availability of toilets, and any other obstacle or geo-related features that are important for seniors. While traditional navigation systems computes always the fastest path to reach a given destination, this tool computes the most convenient one. TaM contributes to this project by providing an indoor positioning module able to work in places where GPS signals are too weak, like in a train station or in some urban canyons.
