Panagiotis was born in Greece in 1988. He acquired his Master diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE, Dipl.-Ing., GPA: 9.38/10.00) from the school of ECE at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in 2011, graduating with honors.

After his graduation he worked as a software engineer for Cognity S.A. in Athens, Greece, writing Java and JavaScript code for web applications.

From September 2012 to February 2014 he worked as a research assistant to the Network Architecture Laboratory (NAL) at EPFL.

Panagiotis joined TaM in March 2014 where he is working on national and European projects. He has created a fall detection system for the national CTI project F2D and a stress detection system for the European AAL project StayActive. He has successfully published 5 papers as a result of his research for these two projects.

Panagiotis completed his PhD with title: “From fall detection to stress patterns using smart devices” in October 2017.

Nowadays he is the project leader of the AAL project EDLAH2 and the CTI project Recover@home.
